A former fishing village that became a complete town, with a ferry port, sheltered sandy beaches and a level promenade.

Living in Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona, has kept its harbour, from where ferries sail to La Gomera. The beaches of Los Cristianos and Las Vistas lie in a sheltered bay, and a level promenade connects them with Playa de las Américas.

Unlike some resort areas, the town has life all year: markets, schools, health centres and shops that serve residents as well as visitors. That makes it popular with people who spend the winter here or retire here. Homes are mostly apartments, many within walking distance of the sea.
