Living in Playa de las Américas
Playa de las Américas was built from the 1960s onwards and lies partly in Arona and partly in Adeje. The seafront promenade links its beaches with Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, and the waves along this coast attract surfers throughout the year.
Most homes are apartments in complexes with a pool, close to the beach and to everything a holiday needs. That makes the area attractive for rental, but also lively until late, so the exact location matters: a street a few minutes back from the centre feels very different from the main strip.
